About the data and comparisons

Range changes compare three-day medians (1 → 126). The line reconstructs open postings between collection dates and takes the median of each trailing three calendar days. History before tracking begins remains unavailable. Daily counts and the current role list can come from different crawl times. Openings indicate advertised demand, not completed hires.

Stage scale median uses the same benchmark eligibility rules: a supported private funding stage, recent successful collection, at least 20 other companies, and equal company weighting. Related companies match primary industry, maturity bucket, and starting-opening band (10–49, 50–199, or 200+) for a fixed 30-day comparison. Starting counts use three-day medians. Related companies require reliable 30-day histories and are ordered by current openings. Stage does not establish employee size or business quality.

Functions come from dated snapshots; locations are reconstructed from first and last seen posting dates. One posting can list several locations. Hiring signals use the same current snapshot and qualification rules as Latest Signals.
